The Name Above ALL Names - Green

The Bible says that Jesus is the name above all names to express His supreme authority, honor, and divine status. This phrase is clearly found in Philippians 2:9-11, which says:

"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:9–11

Jesus didn’t just die—He rose again, and His name carries the power of that victory. So when believers speak His name, they’re standing on the authority of a risen, living Savior who conquered death.

“God raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand... far above all rule and authority...”

– Ephesians 1:20–21

4. Demons Submit to His Name

“Even the demons submit to us in your name.”

– Luke 10:17

Spiritual forces recognize and fear the name of Jesus. This isn't superstition—it's about spiritual authority. Jesus triumphed over evil powers (Colossians 2:15), and when His name is spoken in faith, that authority is enforced.

“By faith in the name of Jesus, this man was made strong.”

6. Prayer in His Name Has Power

“Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it...”

When believers pray in the name of Jesus, they are not just tagging His name onto the end of a prayer—they are approaching God on the basis of Jesus’ righteousness, not their own.
